The first International Day of Peace charity dinner held at Monk Bodhi Dharma was a huge success with everyone walking away satisfied and happy! The night raised $1716.95 which consisted of all the takings from the dinner, sales of cupcakes, all the staff’s tips from the breakfast and lunch service, donations on the night and a generous donation from Nostralis Wholemeal Vegetarian Pizza. The funds will be split between the Aboriginal Benefits Foundation (Helping Aboriginal Communities) and ICAN (International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons). We know the actual dollar amount in the grand scheme of things is not a lot but the energy from the 32 people that attended was full of love, hope and peace!
Michael Hewstone was at his awesome best producing a beautiful ceremonial dinner served on a banana leaf. Thanks Michael for making it such a great night and for donating your invaluable experience and time!!
Also big thanks to Pete for donating his time and doing a double shift… Legend!
